Noel Coward


Writer of Novels, Short Stories, Fiction, Autobiography/Memoir, Plays, Biography, Film, Poetry, Music, Songs/Lyrics and libretti; Actor, Singer, Director, Producer, and Nightclub Entertainer.
Born 1899, England. His first theatre role came in 1909, and he began writing for the stage in 1920. With his play The Vortex in 1924 his success was assured. He went on to write many of the most successful plays and lyrics of the century, including 'Mad Dogs and Englishmen', and Private Lives and Blithe Spirit. He died in his home in Jamaica in 1973.
