The Drood family is all that stands between Humanity and all the forces of darkness. They were supposed to protect the world, but ended up ruling it. "We liked this book immediately. Green's main contribution to the masquerade stew is his very British spin on it all, with sardonic wit, fun characters and shameless referencing of everything from 'Wild Wild West' to his own Deathstalker books. A fresh, fun style with some surprisingly heft battle scenes. It's great fun nonetheless."
