“I think in visual terms, and storyboard my screenplays myself, and writing was the way in I chose, rather than, say, directing shorts or music videos. But the writing got more and more interesting, and the move to directing kept getting pushed back further and further. Now, with the success of the novel, which I enjoyed writing immensely, I think that ambition's going to be on hold for the foreseeable future.
