Geoff Taylor

Geoff Taylor was born in Lancaster, England in 1946. He studied Graphic Design at Chesterfield College of Art. After five years or so of working in advertising agencies in Nottingham, Geoff turned to illustrating book covers for most of the top fantasy writers of our time, both adult and children's fiction. Geoff was one of the illustrators for the legendary Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of "The War of the Worlds" album. Since 1994 he has added to some of the rich imagery of "Games Workshop" and the Black Library. Perhaps his true passions are best reflected in his wildlife paintings, especially wolves. Sian Thomas

Siân Thomas is an award-winning Welsh actress who trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. She has appeared on stage, TV and in films such as Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in which she played Amelia Bones. She has won the Martini TMA Award for Best Actress as Yelena in Uncle Vanya on its Renaissance Tour and an Oliver Award Nomination for Best Comedy Performance as Vittoria in Countrymania at the RNT. Sian has read numerous audiobooks including East of the Sun and Sisters in Arms for Orion.
Paul Torday

Paul Torday burst on to the literary scene in 2007 with his first novel, SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN, an immediate international bestseller that has been translated into 28 languages and has been made into a film starring Ewan McGregor, Kristin Scott Thomas and Emily Blunt. His subsequent novels, THE IRRESISTIBLE INHERITANCE OF WILBERFORCE, THE GIRL ON THE LANDING, THE HOPELESS LIFE OF CHARLIE SUMMERS, MORE THAN YOU CAN SAY, THE LEGACY OF HARTLEPOOL HALL and LIGHT SHINING IN THE FOREST, were all published to great critical acclaim. He was married with two sons by a previous marriage, had two stepsons, and lived close to the River North Tyne. He died at home in December 2013.
