Jon Latimer

Jon Latimer studied Oceanography at University College, Swansea. He served for 16 years in the Territorial Army and was commissioned into the Royal Welch Fusiliers. He taught at the University of Wales, Swansea and wrote on a number of military and naval subjects, from the desert war in World War II to the war of 1812.

Caroline Lawrence is American. She lives with her husband by the river in London and is active as a speaker in schools and at book festivals. She took part in the British Museum's POMPEII LIVE event, giving talks that were streamed to schools all over the UK, and she is the winner of the 2009 CLASSICS ASSOCIATION PRIZE for 'a significant contribution to the public understanding of Classics'. Natacha Ledwidge

Natacha Ledwidge has always loved drawing and painting. She is also fascinated by the Great Mysteries of Life and says 'Mermaids, angels, unicorns and fairies have always attracted me so when I was asked to illustrate Emily Windsnap I was thrilled!'Natacha has illustrated many books for adults and children. Natacha is married to the film cameraman Angus Hudson and has two children - Georgia, her daughter, is at Camberwell Art College and Oscar, her son, is at school but in his spare time makes films about skateboarding.

Anthony Lewis lives with his wife and two young daughters in Cheshire. Since he graduated with a first class honours degree in 1989 he has illustrated and contributed to more than 200 children's books at home and abroad.

Michelle Lovric divides her time between a flat on the Thames and Venice. She has published three novels for adults, of which THE REMEDY was longlisted for the Orange Prize for Fiction. She combines her fiction work with editing, designing and producing literary anthologies including her own translations of Latin and Italian poetry.
