Joanne Owen was born in Pembrokeshire, Wales, and studied Anthropology, Archaeology and Social Sciences at St. John's College, Cambridge. She has worked in children's bookselling and publishing ever since. Joanne plays bass guitar and accordion in a band and lives in London.
Kate Petty

Kate Petty was a widely-published author of both fiction and non fiction titles. Before her death in 2007 she had worked in publishing for many years, and was most recently the children's book publisher for the Eden Project.
Annabel Pitcher

Sarah Silverwood is the pseudonym of Sarah Pinborough, under which her YA work is published. She was born in 1972 in Buckinghamshire, and now lives in Milton Keynes where she works as a full time, award-winning, writer and script-writer. Deyan Sudjic

Deyan Sudjic studied architecture at the University of Edinburgh, and has worked as a critic, editor and curator. Currently the director of the Design Museum, he helped to establish Blueprint magazine, edited Domus in Milan for a number of years, and was the director of the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2002. He is a former architecture critic for the Observer, the Guardian and the Sunday Times.
