Listen to your heart, live with gratitude, and find your bliss.Women have a great many challenges to deal with in their lives. Among the most ubiquitous of those challenges is self-care. Too often they are focused on caring for others and not themselves. Low self-esteem, anxiety and depression are all too common when their lives are less fulfilling than they might be. Yet deep within, women have a tremendous resource - a capacity for real joy that is not dependent on anything external. It is always available, regardless of circumstances. And, when women tap into that deep wellspring of joy, nothing is impossible. This is a book that encourages and inspires women to care more deeply for themselves and to face life's challenges with courage and joy. It is a practical resource for accessing inner wisdom, enhancing self-esteem, overcoming sorrow and deepening relationships. Each of the 150 meditations in this volume begins with an inspirational quote, followed by a thoughtful meditation, and concluded with an affirmation. These meditations provide the opportunity to contemplate a wide range of topics, including:· Developing awareness· Letting go· Believing in your dreams· Living in the now· Finding your true purpose· Practicing kindness· Being optimistic· Trusting the universe· Appreciating life's blessingsHere is a resource that will enable women to experience a little bit of daily serenity and embrace a life of lightness and hope

365 Days of Self-Care: A Journal

Jayne Hardy
Authors:
Jayne Hardy

It's one thing to understand how important self-care is, but how many of us actually manage to make the time do it? Self-care is a preventative action that focuses on our health and happiness, and yet so often it gets put aside when other things, and people, vie for our time and attention - it's often only when life has knocked us to our knees that we realise how vitally important it is. Following on from the hugely popular The Self-Care Project, Jayne Hardy, CEO and founder of The Blurt Foundation, helps us plan for obstacles, devise contingency plans, be mindful of the way our days play out, and prioritise the things that are truly important to us. With the flexibility of choosing to start the journal anytime; on any day, in any year, this is the essential companion for bringing more self-care into our lives.

The Use Of The Self

F.M. Alexander
Authors:
F.M. Alexander

The world famous classic by the originator of the Alexander Technique, with a brand new introduction by Anthony Kingsley.Frederick Matthias Alexander was born in Tasmania in 1869. In his twenties, he became a professional reciter of dramatic pieces. After almost completely losing his voice he pioneered a method of improving the 'use' of his body musculature in all positions and movements and cured his vocal problems without medical aid.Alexander then realised that most people stood, sat and moved in a defective manner and that incorrect 'use of the self' might be the cause of much human suffering. He moved to London and established a school, publishing several books and achieving success, with recommendations from famous contemporaries such as Aldous Huxley and Sir Stafford Cripps. Alexander died in 1955 but his 'principle' lives on through the work of many teachers of his method.
