Design Studio Manager, Little, Brown Book Group

Who we are and what we do

Little, Brown Book Group is one of the most successful and dynamic publishers in the UK. Across fourteen imprints, we publish as wide a range of titles as anyone in the industry, and pride ourselves on the quality, variety and diversity of our publishing output. The vibrant Design Department is an essential part of this looking after the creation of innovative and commercially successful book cover designs for all of the imprints.

What you’ll be doing

You will be an integral part of the design team and play a vital part in its success, managing the workflow and administration requirements in support of the effective running of the department. You will be the studio ‘glue’, a primary department contact for others in the office, recognising and understanding priorities from all perspectives whilst maintaining an eye on the bigger picture. You’ll work closely with all of the in-house designers, manage and prioritise the workloads for the artworkers, liaise closely with other internal departments and negotiate with external parties to ensure the effective delivery of projects.

Who we’re looking for

We’d like someone with a strong desire to be part of a creative team, is a committed individual, loves to be organised, has an ability to juggle multiple projects and thrives and shows great composure in a busy environment. You will have proven traffic management experience supporting a team in a similar environment, be highly self-motivated and have the drive to work independently. Essentially you’ll want to get the best out of others, be a great people person with superb communication skills.

Salary Range £35,000-£40,000 (depending on experience)
