Over one hundred delicious recipes from the Amalfi Coast.

Over one hundred delicious recipes from the Amalfi Coast.

Nina dazzled us with her homage to the food of St Tropez, and now she has set her sights on the spectacular coastline of Capri. After university, Nina joined the team at L'Anima, London as a commis chef and fell in love with their style of pastry and cooking using fresh Italian ingredients with a rustic touch. In her new cookbook, she draws on this passion for Italian cuisine to present us with over 100 original recipes. With many gluten-free and dairy-free options, Nina offers a lighter, healthier approach in her cooking.

Full colour throughout, much of this beautiful cookbook is shot on location on the stunning Amalfi Coast of Capri, in amongst the intimacy of the charmed cosy streets, and alongside the expanse of clear blue sea.

Nina Parker... Your book is beautiful. (You had me at Breakfast Cake). Your limoncello is glorious. Thank you so much. — Nigel Slater
From its cheese-loaded pastas to doughy pizzas and impossibly creamy gelato, typical Italian cuisine does not seem to offer many dairy-free or gluten-free options. However, London-based chef Nina Parker's beautiful cookbook challenges these conceptions. This book offers many lighter and healthier options of popular Italian classics, including a gluten-free chestnut and banana bread and a dairy-free hot chocolate, as well as some of Nina's own inventions. — Rhian Williams, THE INDEPENDENT
Stunning scenery, simple food and screen legends - no wonder chef Nina Parker fell for la dolce vita on Capri and the Amalfi coast — MAIL ON SUNDAY

Michel also features recipes that can be made in one pot for speed and convenience, such as the delicious Poulet Basquaise - a fragrant, simple stew of chicken, peppers and spices. Other dishes can be put together from store cupboard ingredients for a quick mid-week supper - such as Chickpea and harissa soup, to be served alongside one of his many simple salads, tempting vegetable dishes or speedy desserts. These are not restaurant dishes - this is the food that Michel and his family cook and eat at home. In his beautiful new book, Michel brings the great cuisine of his native land into the 21st century - truly a French food revolution!

Some Fantastic Place

Chris Difford
Authors:
Chris Difford

Chris Difford is a rare breed. As a member of one of London's best-loved bands, the Squeeze co-founder has made a lasting contribution to English music with hits such as 'Cool For Cats', 'Up The Junction', 'Labelled With Love', 'Hourglass' and 'Tempted'. Even before his first release in 1977, his love of writing lyrics has never wavered. Over the course of a thirteen-album career with Squeeze, it was clear from the very beginning that Difford has few peers when it comes to smart, pithy lyricism. His 'kitchen-sink drama' style has drawn plaudits from fans on both sides of the Atlantic, and his influence is keenly felt today. The likes of Lily Allen. Mark Ronson, Kasabian, Razorlight and many more have recognized the debt they owe to Squeeze's music and to Difford's way with words, while journalists were moved by his winning combination with Glenn Tilbrook to dub the pair 'The New Lennon and McCartney'.In Some Fantastic Place, Chris Difford charts his life from his early days as a dreaming boy in south London with a talent for poetry to becoming a member of one of Britain's greatest bands and beyond. Along the way he reveals the inspiration and stories behind Squeeze's best-known songs, and his greatest highs and lows from over four decades of making music.

Dolce Vita Confidential

Shawn Levy
Authors:
Shawn Levy

The Sunday Times Stage & Screen Book of the Year'A beautifully written walk on the wild side ... It oozes nostalgic glamour' The Times 'Uproariously readable ... Levy is a master of the group biography' Sunday Times From the ashes of the Second World War, Rome in the 1950s was reborn as the epicentre of film, fashion, tabloid media and bold-faced libertinism that made 'Italian' a global synonym for style and flair. A confluence of cultural contributions created a bright, burning moment in history: it was the heyday of fashion icons such as Pucci, whose superb craftsmanship set the standard for women's clothing for decades. Rome's huge movie studio, Cinecittà, also known as 'Hollywood on the Tiber', attracted a dizzying array of stars from Charlton Heston, Audrey Hepburn, Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner and Frank Sinatra to that stunning and combustible couple, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, who began their extramarital affair during the making of Cleopatra. And behind these stars trailed street photographers - Tazio Secchiaroli, Pierluigi Praturlon and Marcello Geppetti - who searched, waited and pounced on their subjects in pursuit of the most unflattering and dramatic portraits of fame. Fashionistas, exiles, moguls and martyrs flocked to Rome hoping for a chance to indulge in the glow of old money, new stars, fast cars, wanton libidos and brazen news photographers. The scene was captured nowhere better than in Federico Fellini's masterpiece, starring Marcello Mastroianni and the Swedish bombshell Anita Ekberg. La Dolce Vita was condemned for its licentiousness, when in fact Fellini was satirizing the decadence of Rome's bohemian scene. Colourful and richly informed, Dolce Vita Confidential recreates Rome's stunning ascent with vivid and compelling tales of its glitterati and artists, down to every last outrageous detail of the city's magnificent transformation.
